Short Description

Elbow macaroni baked with seasoned ground beef, peppers, onions, tomatoes, and cheddar cheese for a hearty, comforting casserole.

Ingredients

1 lb elbow macaroni, cooked

1 dash of salt

2 tablespoons olive oil blend

2 cups onion, chopped

1 cup peppers, diced

1 tablespoon chopped garlic

2 lbs ground beef

1 can crushed tomatoes (15 oz)

1 teaspoon dried basil

1 teaspoon cumin

1 teaspoon dried oregano

3 cups cheddar cheese

Preparation

Boil the noodles in salted water, then drain them. In a skillet, heat the oil and add the peppers, onions, and garlic, sautéing until they soften. Add the ground beef and cook until browned; drain excess oil if necessary.


Stir in the tomatoes, salt, and pepper to taste, then add the herbs and mix thoroughly. In a bowl, combine the beef mixture with the noodles and adjust the seasoning as needed. Transfer to baking dishes and sprinkle with cheese.


Place in a preheated oven at 350°F and bake for 30 minutes until heated through and the cheese is melted.
