Ingredients
6 oz shortening, weight
6 oz butter, weight
1 cup brown sugar
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups chocolate chip
1 teaspoon salt
Preparation
In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, sugar and shortening together. Add the eggs one at a time while the mixer is running. In another bowl, sift the flour, baking soda and salt. Add the wet ingredients to the dry and mix by hand, then add the chocolate chips
Let stand in the fridge for a day before making the cookies. Use a scoop for portioning and bake at 350°F for 10-12 minutes
